The fact that you came to this page tells me you want to know more about me and my business story. I thank you for that. I’m a former naval engineer that dropped out from the from a grueling, demanding job in the corporate world and built a successful, full-time career in direct marketing since the last 28 years.

If you care to know details, there is a chronological history of my ventures below.

I’m originally from Northern Italy. I grew up in a humble, middle class, loving Italian family. I was blessed to have had great parents, sisters, cousins, uncles and aunts. We were not rich in money, but were rich in dignity, education, love, respect and support for one another. This family is my pride and strength.

I paid my way to college by working in my mother’s commercial janitorial business and obtained a Masters Degree in naval engineering from one of the most prestigious naval technical institutes in Europe.  I had job offers even before graduation and I worked as an officer on cruise ships and later as a technical consultant on military ships.

It was a great career, on one hand I had a lot of fun, on the other end the pay was the low and the hours, stress, liability and politics excruciating.  Eventually, I decided to abandon the career and change my life. It was a hard decision. But after years of college and years at sea, I found myself with nothing. I decided to move to the US with the grand possession of $200 in my pocket (literally), a dream and took any job to survive.

When I started with my first direct marketing company,  I had spiraled into debt and I was frantic to get going. I had to learn everything from scratch. Marketing was as obscure to me as Chinese. I didn’t grow up in an entrepreneurial environment. As an engineer, I wasn’t specifically talented with people. I had never sold anything in my life and never been in business before. I’m someone who’s knowledge is hard earned and success is not coincidental. It comes from trials, tribulations, hard knocks and constantly fighting the temptation to quit.

riccardo ferrari storyBut along with my initial failure came some luck. I was able to become personal friends with the late Jim Rohn, to whom I owe my career. He was instrumental in my success. He kept me going. He pulled me back in the business every time I was discouraged and wanted to quit. He took personal time to teach me the ropes and make sure I kept trying, working on myself and growing my skills.

It finally paid off. My breakthrough came when I started working with a powerful leader that was making $250,000 a month and helped me to understand the art of advertising, sales funnels, presenting, sponsoring and training.  Once I got the system down, I started scaling it up and got into multiple six figure in short time. I am the typical example, not of talent, but one of belief, hard work, stick-to-it ability and the good luck to have met the right mentors who cared and helped me.

Every day, even with a small step at a time,  you can make progress that  will compound in time and eventually pay off.

Here’s My Career History

1980s — I was a top producer, marketing adviser and multiple six-figure earner with a legendary California nutraceutical company, which today is a global, publicly-traded company grossing $4.2 billion annually.

1992 — I became the #1 volume producer and marketing adviser with another nutraceutical company located in West Palm Beach, Florida. My personal organization accounted for over 90,000 affiliates/customers and generated around $400 million in sales in 9 years.

1999 — I became the #1 volume producer, consultant, seminar speaker  and corporate trainer with a Tampa-based telecommunications company. We enrolled 350,000 customers in a little over 2 years, and then became a publicly-traded company valued at $500 million. The company was eventually sold and changed the marketing model.

2002 — I developed my first internet marketing system that, in only 6 months, led me to acquiring over 30,000 customers in a $100 million  media company is Scottsdale Arizona. Today, my customer base is smaller, but still produces a few hundred thousand dollars in yearly gross sales.

2003 — I developed my second internet marketing system and used it to become the #1 producing rep with a Florida-based e-mall, which reached a customer base of six million members. Unfortunately, with internet growth the company was overridden by better online malls and went out of business

2006 — In a little over a year, through internet marketing, I became the #1 volume producer (personal income peaking at$15,000 a week) with a prominent energy drink  manufacturer in Dallas, TX. My organization grew to 190,000 online affiliates and sold millions of drinks to date. The program  produced a few millions in yearly sales for a few years, until the company was sold. Today, it is no longer a popular brand.

2009 – 2011 − I  started expanding blog development, write training products, tested diverse internet marketing strategies and had another winning internet ventures that generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in gross sales.

2012 –  I relocated to Sarasota, FL and served as VP of Marketing for a nutritional company financed and owned by a billionaire. I created the entire brand, product input, label design, all the materials, blogging platform, corporate websites designs,  directed all the video production and professional photo shoots, redesigned the compensation plan and marketing strategy. After 16 months, despite of their excellent products, I decided not to pursue working with the owners of this company.

2013 – I relocated to Coeur D’alene Idaho and consulted for the former Medical Director of the largest network marketing company in the world. I was proud and humble to have been chosen by this person. I put together the entire business model that included corporate plan, financial proforma, management plan, software, compensation plan, marketing systems, print materials, product descriptions, web development, video production and more. After one year, the Swiss investors, despite of paying a substantial initial investment,  decided not to launch the company and pursue other projects.

2014 – I relocated back to California and started working as marketing consultant for a large merchant processing company. The company was successful, but heavily tilted toward dubious sales tactics and decided not to continue with them.

 2015 – This was a year where I needed sometime to manage health issues, family problems and other curb balls sometime life throws at a person. However, I took time to do deep research on social media marketing, which I believe it’s the future of business.

2016 – I am currently working with the #1 Social Media Marketing System on the internet and a prominent company I strongly believe in. At this juncture of my career I have developed valuable knowledge I wish to share with others and keep on making the difference.

I believe that success boils down to these seven principles:

  1. Find a mentor
  2.  Get the knowledge you need
  3. Work smart
  4. Tell the truth
  5. Apologize when you screw up
  6. Focus on others and not yourself
  7. Make it happen even if you don’t have all the answers

I consider myself fortunate and blessed for the ability to fully live the American Dream. Today more than ever, I’m 100% dedicated to helping and teaching other entrepreneurs how to succeed in business and live their dreams, as well. I know from experience there is a power within you that can change anything you want  in your life. All you have to do is decide to unleash it.
